Students At A High School Rally to Replace Students School Supplies Found In Toilet

Students at a high school in Omaha, Nebraska have rallied together to replace the belongings of a deaf student who found his school supplies dumped in the toilet of the school’s bathroom.  Alexis Hernandez had his belongings stolen by two students from the high school. His tablet was stolen, school project was destroyed and a battery for his cochlear implant was also destroyed. School Officials say that Alexis was not a target of of bullies and the students that did this to him didn’t know he was deaf. Yes the students were punished for their action, but this is not an excuse for them to this.

Alexis’s sister shared a photo of the incident on her Facebook page and started a GoFundMe page in his honor. On her Facebook she posted, “Most people might not know this but my brother is
completely deaf and I couldn’t believe anyone would have the heart to do this to him!”

Why would someone be so mean and do this?
