After noticing that the school’s water supply looked like urine, this student posted a picture on her twitter and Facebook page. When she returned to school the next day, she was shocked to find out how the school responded to her post.
“I was called to the office and told by one of the assistant principals that an administrator found a photo of the girl’s bathroom on social media and that I’d be issued a three-day out-of-school suspension for ‘inappropriate use of electronics,'” Hazel told CNN.
After an uproar, including a social media protest where girls posted several bathroom selfies [disregarding the non-use of cell phones in public restrooms]
the school’s superintendent intervened and expunged the suspension. She also found out that the school didn’t even report the water issue….smh
