On Saturday morning a 50-year-old man was attacked by a grizzly bear while he was out in the wilderness looking for elk. The crazy thing about this is that he was attacked by the same bear twice. Todd Orr was no amateur to hiking, he was prepared for anything. Every 30 seconds he would stop and holler out, “Hey Bear” so he wouldn’t surprise any bears along the trail. He also had his canister of bear spray that would repel bears. During his journey he came across a female grizzly bear with her cubs, hey yelled and the bear seemed to leave. The bear turned around and charged him, knocking him down to the ground and began attacking him. He played dead and the bear left. A few minutes later the same bear came back and attacked him again while walking back to his truck. Todd played dead again and the bear left. After all that was done he drove 17 miles to a hospital. He had bites on his arm, shoulder, and his head. He is lucky to be alive. What a story he will have to tell.
