Tony Constanzo is a a 32 year old firefighter from La Porte who just walked for 24 hours in full firefighting gear to raise awareness and money for Footstep For The Fallen.
He was clearly inspired by the man who did a 9/11 tribute last month by climbing 11 flights of stairs at the gym. Tony runs a nonprofit called “Footseteps For The Fallen” and it gives scholarships to families of first responders.
He told KHOU that he does a stunt every year to raise money and awareness. In fact, in 2015 he ran 440 miles in 11 days. At noon on Friday he went to a gym in La Porte and started walking in full firefighting gear, including the heavy oxygen tank. He didn’t stop until noon on Saturday. He only took a short break to go to the bathroom. While we don’t know how much money he raised he said you too can donate at FootstepsForTheFallen.org
