Lucio spent his weekend cleaning out his daughter’s room. In it he found art work from her from kindergarten. She is now in the fourth grade. She had kept it for all these years but there was SO MUCH of it that they couldn’t keep all of it. So he had to throw it away.
This is what Lucio says happened:
On Sunday I decided that I was going to clean out my daughters bedroom. Well 5 hours later it was cleaned and 3 trash bags later everything was put in to its right place. I think she may be a starting to be a hoarder, she had one thing from when she was in pre-k still hidden in her room!
I can only imagine how much stuff kids bring home and how much they give you and make you. What do you keep and what do you throw away.
My mom has boxes and boxes of things she has kept. We have a Christmas tree every year of every ornament we made as kids. Not just us but my mom’s ornaments that she has made also.
Are we hoarders? No. I don’t think so. I think we are just storytellers and those stories include the items we made during that time. I have also noticed that there are some things that have been thrown away over the years.
The maccaroni pictures got the boot and so what do you keep? What do you throw away.
If you keep it all are you a hoarder? If you throw it all away are you heartless.
