Do You Work Somewhere You Can’t Bring Your Significant Other To The Christmas Party?

A friend of mine told her boyfriend had told her a few weeks ago ab0ut his company party and she was super excited and then he came home and said that he was very¬† sorry but he didn’t realize that they weren’t allow to bring significant others. It was for employees only. Ivan thinks that is super shady. I have worked places where this was the case and to me, maybe I am naive, but it seems legit to me. You work for a large company, they wanna reward their employees. Times were tough for a lot of businesses in Houston this year and when you’re budgeting, you don’t wanna pay for some random person.

I don’t know if you can legally say only married couples cause then what about the couples who have been together for years so it gets sticky! So wouldn’t it be easier if they just say no one.

Or, is it shady?
