With the cold weather arriving people are doing whatever they can to stay warm. Before using your space heaters, fireplaces, or any device to keep you warm, here are some safety tips you should follow to safely heat up your house.
A couple of tips to follow when using a space heater is to keep it 3 feet away from household items such as curtains, clothing items, decorations and flammable liquids. Also, remember to turn it off when leaving the room, never leave a space heater unattended. When using your fireplace use small bundles of firewood to reduce the risk of sparks and flyaways. Never use junk wood such as pieces of furniture or anything with varnish that release toxins.
