No surprise this year’s hottest Christmas toy was Hatchimals. Parents were doing whatever they could to get their hands on these little critters.
Now that Christmas is over, some parents are furious because the Hatchimals they purchased won’t hatch like they are supposed to and leaving many kids heartbroken.
To get your Hatchimal to hatch, “users have to play with and nurture the egg for up to an hour, listening to the cooing Hatchimal inside as it pecks its way out of the shell.” Most parents said that the hatching never happened. Also, others parents said after the Hatchimal hatched out of its shell, it broke.
Angry parents that purchased Hatchimals are demanding replacements and flooding the toy company’s customer service line with complaints. “The toy company is committed to resolving the issue and apologizes to those dealing with the malfunction toy.” They recommend the consumer look at the troubleshooting tips on the Hatchimal website.
